First, there was that short story audio compilation, and now a comic series! As a huge fan of the RPGs, I couldnвЂ™t be happier about that fact. But, that said, yes, the comic shows some skylines and familiar landmarks, but, otherwise, the lead vampire, Cecily, engages in bad-ass interactions, way too many characters are introduced, people get attacked out of spite, and vampires in power speak in platitudes to their underlings.

Honestly, IвЂ™d picked up this comic to see scenes of my native Minnesota and because IвЂ™d dabbled in the VtG RPG about twenty years ago.

Vampire The Masquerade: Winter's Teeth volume 1 is a dark and rich vampiric read filled with dynamic characters and political intrigue that will leave you wanting to more.more I'm especially curious about how Cecily and Ali's relationship will develop. I am looking forward to getting to know them more in the next volumes. The are quite a few characters, which can be difficult to work with, but enough of their personalities came through in their limited number of scenes that I found I was able to connect with most of them. I think I'm most looking forward to seeing more of the nosferatu and how the political transition will play out.ДЄs much as I loved the world-building and the politics, I think the strength of the story still lies with the characters. I loved getting a glimpse of where the different factions fit. The political landscape of the Twin Cities was fascinating to read.

Everything was also well-incorporated into the story that there are no huge information text dumps. But all of it is done in such a way that I didn't find it confusing. There's lots going on with world-building, character introductions, different vampiric factions, and political dynamics. This single volume impressively packs a lot in it. I have zero knowledge of the game but as far as I can tell that didn't impede my understanding of the story.
